A&M men earn top spot in national rankings

The Texas A&M men's track team will take a No. 1 ranking to UCLA this weekend at the Rafer Johnson /Jackie Joyner-Kersee Invitational at Drake Stadium in Westwood, Calif.

The men moved from No. 16 in the preseason rankings to No. 1 in the first regular season poll released by the USTFCCCA. The Aggie women moved up from No. 4 to No. 3.

The No. 1 ranking for the men is the first for any men's sport at A&M since the baseball team earned the top spot in May of 1999.
