Texas A&M fired longtime diving coach Kevin Wright on Friday, A&M athletics director Bill Byrne announced.

Wright was the Aggies' diving coach for 17 seasons. A&M has yet to name an interim coach.

Wright coached A&M divers to 46 All-America citations and 28 individual conference championships. He was named the conference coach of the year 12 times.
