The Southeastern Conference has granted Texas A&M a one-time waiver to continue to host the 7-on-7 state football tournament this summer, but the Aggies are still waiting on the NCAA to make its ruling.
"Contrary to tweets and other information that is not correct, the NCAA has not ruled on the waiver for the 7-on-7 tournament," A&M associate athletics director Alan Cannon said Friday afternoon. "The NCAA said they would notify us when a ruling is made on the waiver."
