Tallahassee, Fla. -- The Texas A&M track and field team won nine events outright and were the top collegiate finishers in three more events at the Florida State Relays on Friday at Mike Long Track.
A&M's Nick Robinson won the 400 hurdles in 50.58 seconds, the nation's fastest collegiate time of the season.
A&M also set the nation's fastest mark in the women's 800 relay. Sandy Wooten, Elizabeth Adeoti, Simone Facey and Allison George finished in a meet record 1:32.40.
Also for A&M's women, Laura Asimakis led a 1-2-3-4-5 effort for the Aggies in the javelin, while Jennifer Williams won the 400 hurdles and Brenna Williamson won the steeplechase. Asimakis also finished as the top collegian in the pole vault.
On the men's side, A&M finished 1-3-2 in the 400 with Justin Oliver winning in 46.42 followed by A.C. Robinson (46.71) and Bryan Miller (46.76). A&M's Kevin McNab won the steeplechase, and Chad Brown won the javelin. A&M's Javier Olivas was the top collegian in the shot put, while Tyron Stewart was the top collegian in the long jump.
