TULSA, Okla. -- Texas A&M sophomore Kayvon Karimi and freshman Colin Hoover fell in the final round of the pre-qualifying singles draw at the D'Novo ITA All-American Championships on Sunday at the Michael D. Case Tennis Center.
The Aggies will be represented in the qualifying draw beginning Monday, with sophomore All-American Austin Krajicek and sophomore Wil Spencer scheduled to compete in the 128-player singles bracket. The main draw begins Thursday, with senior All-American Conor Pollock participating in singles and the fourth-ranked duo of Pollock and Krajicek in doubles.
GOLF
Ags finish sixth at Tar Heel Invitational: CHAPEL HILL, N.C. -- The Texas A&M women's golf team posted a 16-over-par 304 on Sunday and finished sixth at the Tar Heel Invitational at the Finley Golf Course.
Sophomore Sarah Zwartynski led the Aggies, tying for 13th individually with a 7-over score of 74-75-74--223. Senior Lauren Johnson tied for 17th (73-76-75--224), junior Ashley Freeman tied for 28th (72-77-78--227) and freshman Crystal Reeves tied for 57th (82-75-77--234).
SOFTBALL
A&M takes two: SPRING -- Texas A&M hit four home runs and earned victories over Texas-San Antonio, 6-2, and Stephen F. Austin, 9-1, on Sunday to closing out the Spring Klein College Classic at Collins Park.
The Aggies play their final doubleheader of the fall season Thursday against Blinn College. First pitch is set for 5 p.m., and admission is free.
