Aggie men set for NCAA Championships: TOLEDO, Ohio -- Texas A&M will join the nation's top collegiate men's golf teams Tuesday morning at the NCAA Men's Golf Championships at the Inverness Club.

This year's tournament features a new twist, with the team champion determined via match play. The top eight teams after 54 holes of stroke play will advance to match play with the quarterfinals and semifinals being held on Friday and the championship match set for Saturday. An individual champion will be crowned following Thursday's play.

During the match-play portion of the championships, each match will be worth one point with all five players from each team participating. The first team to win three points within the team match will advance or, in the case of the championship match, be declared the national champion.

A&M will send seniors Bronson Burgoon and Matt Van Zandt, junior Andrea Pavan and sophomores John Hurley and Nacho Elvira. The Aggies finished third at the West Regional to qualify for the national championships.
