FOOTBALL
FSN picks up CU-Colorado: The Big 12 and FSN Rocky Mountain officials announced Monday that the Colorado-Colorado State football game will move to Sept. 6 for television.
The game had been originally scheduled for Sept. 5.
A&M athletics director Bill Byrne said two months ago he'd been approached by a television network about the school making the move of the New Mexico home game from Sept. 5 to Sept. 6 for a nationally televised game.
A source close to the negotiations last month said that FSN couldn't work out a deal for the A&M-New Mexico game, and quickly reached an agreement to show the CU-CSU game.
It's the second straight year CU and CSU have opened the season on a Sunday.

BASEBALL
Shofner, Patterson make all-regional team: Texas A&M sophomore third baseman Caleb Shofner and junior designated hitter Joe Patterson were named to the NCAA Fort Worth Regional All-Tournament Team announced late Sunday.
Shofner hit .583 over the Aggies' three games with a double, two home runs, six RBIs and three runs scored.
Patterson hit .500 with two home runs, four RBIs and four runs scored over the weekend, playing the opening game in left field and the final two at DH. His two-out, two-run homer in the top of the 11th inning Saturday against Wright State lifted the Aggies to a 6-4 victory.
VOLLEYBALL
Black, Corbelli added to U.S. Women's Junior National Team: Texas A&M volleyball player Kelsey Black has been named to the 12-player 2009 U.S. Women's Junior National Team and Aggie associate head coach John Corbelli will serve as an assistant coach for the team, USA Volleyball recently announced.
The team will compete at the FIVB World Championship at Tijuana and Mexicali, Mexico, July 16-25. The team will train for the event at the U.S. Olympic Training Center at Chula Vista, Calif.
Black, who was a member of the Women's Junior National Training Team last summer, is expected to battle Lilla Frederick of Pepperdine for the libero position, while the player not selected as libero will see time as outside hitter and defensive specialist.
As a freshman in 2008 the 5-foot-11 Black played in every match for the Aggies, starting two as an outside hitter and 12 as the designated libero. She led the team with four 20-plus dig matches and finished the season with a team-high 3.0 digs per set in Big 12 contests. She was named the team's Most Improved Player.
Corbelli is serving as an assistant coach for the team for the second consecutive season. Last year Corbelli helped direct the U.S. Women's Junior National Team to the gold medal at the NORCECA Women's Junior Continental Championship in Saltillo, Mexico, which qualified the team for the 2009 FIVB World Championship.
