Aggie men look to defend title at Baylor Intercollegiate: DALLAS -- The No. 9 Texas A&M men's golf team will try to defend its title at the Baylor Intercollegiate starting on Monday at Royal Oaks Country Club.

The 12-team field will play 36 holes Monday and a final 18 on Tuesday. Live scoring is available online at www.golfstat.com.

Other teams competing are No. 4 Texas, host Baylor, Arkansas, BYU, Iowa, Lamar, New Mexico, Oklahoma, SMU, Tulsa and Texas-San Antonio.

Senior Andrea Pavan, juniors John Hurley and Nacho Elvira, sophomore Geoff Shaw and freshman Cameron Peck will represent A&M, which is coming off a 10-stroke victory at the Lone Star Invitational last week in San Antonio. Hurley captured the individual title, the first of his college career.

A&M women head to San Antonio: SAN ANTONIO -- The No. 15 Texas A&M women's golf team will compete at the Alamo Invitational on Monday and Tuesday at Briggs Ranch Golf Club.

The 12-team field includes No. 7 Tennessee, Baylor, Middle Tennessee State, Mississippi, Nebraska, Notre Dame, Oklahoma, SMU, Texas State, host Texas-San Antonio and Wisconsin. Live scoring is available online at www.golfstat.com.

Seniors Ashley Freeman and Julia Boland, junior Sarah Zwartynski, and freshmen Sarah Beth Davis and Chloe Garner will represent A&M. The Aggies finished fourth Oct. 11 at the Tar Heel Invitational in North Carolina.

TENNIS

Grigorov, Lunt knock off top-seeded Longhorns: The Texas A&M men's tennis doubles tandem of junior Alexey Grigorov and senior Marcus Lunt knocked off two rival Texas duos -- including the top seeded team -- to advance to the semifinals of the Wilson/ITA Texas Regional Championships on Sunday at the George P. Mitchell Tennis Center.

Grigorov and Lunt upset top-seeded Dimitar Kutrovsky and Josh Zavala of Texas, 8-6, in the round of 16, then picked up an 8-5 victory over Chris Camillone and Jon Wiegand of Texas in the quarterfinals. They will meet third-seeded Raony Carvalho and Rafeal Garcia of Texas Tech at 1:30 p.m. Monday.

The fifth-seeded combination of junior All-American Austin Krajicek and junior Jeff Dadamo won 8-2 over Alex Hilliard and Daniel Whitehead of Texas in their quarterfinal match. Krajicek and Dadamo will square off against fourth-seeded Ed Corrie and Kellen Damico of UT on Monday, also at 1:30 p.m.

In the singles draw, both the fifth-seeded Krajicek and Dadamo, the No. 9 seed, moved on to the quarterfinals. Krajicek beat Marius Cirstea of TCU, 7-6, 6-3, while Dadamo downed Damico, 4-6, 6-3, 6-1.

Krajicek will face third-seeded Raony Carvalho of Texas Tech in Monday's quarterfinals, while Dadamo takes on Artem Baradach of SMU. Both matches will start at 9 a.m.
