Women's coaches honored for community service: Texas A&M women's basketball head coach Gary Blair and associate head coach Vic Schaefer were recently honored for their service in the Bryan-College Station area.

Blair received the "Citizen of the Year Award" from the local Lions Club at the Brazos Center, while Schaefer was selected as this year's honoree for the Hope Pregnancy Center of Brazos Valley "Coaches of Character" series. Each year, in conjunction with its annual golf classic, the Hope Center honors a coach of the Brazos Valley who exhibits the Christian values that Hope works to communicate to the women and men seeking their services.
