Aggie golfers continue solid start at Q-school: WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. -- Former Texas A&M golfer Jeff Maggert fired a 5-under 67 on the second day of the PGA qualifying tournament to move up into a third-place tie at 6-under 138, just two shots off the lead.

Aggie Shane Bertsch had a second straight 71 on Thursday in the six-day event and is tied for 18th.

The top 25 finishers and ties after the six-round tournament will earn cards for 2010, with roughly 50 more earning fully exempt status for the Nationwide Tour.

Hullett in 28th at LPGA Q-school: Aggie Jamie Hullett is at 1-over 145 in the LPGA qualifying tournament in Daytona Beach, Fla. She is tied for 28th place after shooting 1-under 71 on Thursday in the five-day event.

The top 20 finishers will earn "Priority List Category 11" status. In the event of a tie, a playoff will decide the 20th position. Players finishing 21st through 30th will earn Priority List Category 16, and Nos. 31-40 will receive Priority List Category 20.
