Men's basketball tickets to be sold online: Tickets for all remaining Texas A&M men's basketball home games will be available online starting Saturday at 12thmanfoundation.com. Tickets also can be purchased in person or by phone beginning Monday at Kyle Field or at 979-845-2311 or 1-888-99-AGGIE.
Single-game tickets are available for Oklahoma (Jan. 19), Colorado (Jan. 23), Texas Tech (Jan. 30), Baylor (Feb. 6), Kansas (Feb. 15), Texas (Feb. 27) and Oklahoma State (March 3). Prices range from $20 to $35.
"Holiday Hoops" games, which feature half-price tickets for games through Jan. 13, also are on sale. Men's tickets start at $5 and women's at $2.50.
TRACK & FIELD
Bowerman ceremony live on Web cast: Flotrack.org will broadcast live online the inaugural awarding of The Bowerman which will recognize the top collegiate athletes in track and field for the 2009 season.
Texas A&M sprinter Porscha Lucas is one of the three female finalists, including Colorado's Jenny Barringer and Texas' Destinee Hooker. The men's finalists are Oregon's Ashton Eaton and Galen Rupp and Oklahoma State's German Fernandez.
VOLLEYBALL
Aggie volleyball team signs three: Texas A&M has signed Allie Freiwald, Allie Sawatzky and Heather Reynolds during the early signing period, A&M head coach Laurie Corbelli announced Tuesday.
Freiwald is a 6-foot-1 setter from Mullen High School in Littleton, Colo., where she was a two-time all-state performer. She led Mullen to a state runner-up finish in 2008 and the state semifinals this season.
Sawatzky is a 6-1 setter from St. Andrews, Manitoba, Canada, and will enroll at A&M in January.
Reynolds is a 6-0 outside hitter from Wharton and has made the all-state second team twice.
