Aggies near top of nation in attendance: The Texas A&M baseball program finished ninth in average attendance last season at 4,076.
The Aggies will open the season Feb. 19 at home against Seton Hall.

BASKETBALL
Aggie women's team luncheon set for Thursday: The Aggie women's basketball team will hold its weekly luncheon at 11:30 a.m. Thursday at Reed Arena in the Cox-McFerrin Center's practice gym. Cost is $10 (cash or check only) per person and includes a meal. Parking will be available in Lot 100-G.
Fans may bring a dessert with them to the luncheon to share with fellow attendees.

TENNIS
Aggie men No. 12 heading into spring: The Texas A&M men's tennis team will enter the spring season at No. 12 in the Campbell/ITA Division I Men's Tennis Top 25 Rankings, which were released Tuesday.
A&M will open the season Jan. 23 with a doubleheader against Texas-Pan American at 10 a.m. and Nicholls State at 3 p.m.
TRACK & FIELD
Aggie men and women in preseason Top 10: The Texas A&M women's track and field team is No. 1 while A&M's men are No. 8 in the indoor season's first poll released by the United States Track and Field Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA).
Other Big 12 schools in the women's Top 25 include No. 11 Nebraska, No. 15 Texas, No. 16 Baylor and No. 21 Oklahoma.
Other Big 12 schools in the men's Top 25 include No. 4 Nebraska, No. 6 Oklahoma, No. 11 Baylor, No. 14 Texas Tech, No. 21 Oklahoma State, No. 22 Kansas State and No. 25 Kansas.
Florida State is No. 1 in the men's ranking.
