A&M's Shumard to play in East-West Shrine Game: ORLANDO -- Texas A&M offensive lineman Michael Shumard has been added to the West roster for Saturday's East-West Shrine All-Star Game at Orlando's Citrus Bowl, A&M announced Wednesday.
Shumard recently completed his senior season. The three-year starter helped the Aggies average 466 yards per game, good for fifth nationally.

Monmouth hires Aggies' Lobpries: Former Texas A&M softball player Jami Lobpries was hired by Monmouth University as an assistant coach.
The former Wharton all-state player will be responsible for the outfielders and infielders for the school in West Long Branch, N.J.
Lobpries, who was a graduate assistant at A&M last season, recently completed an internship with the Major League Baseball Players Alumni Association to finish her master's degree in sport management.
Lobpries, an All-Big 12 selection in 2008, plays with the Tennessee Diamonds in the National Pro Fastpitch League. She started her professional career with the NPFL's Philadelphia Force.
