Aggies shut out Penn State: Clayton Ehlert struck out 10 over seven innings, and Caleb Shofner drove in three runs to lead Texas A&M past Penn State 7-0 on Wednesday at Olsen Field.
Ehlert (1-1) allowed four hits with no walks.
Shofner went 2 for 3 with two doubles, scored two runs and stole a base. Brodie Greene also went 2 for 5 for A&M.
A&M (11-2) will host Washington State for a three-game series beginning at 6:35 p.m. Friday.

Loux named to National All-Star Lineup: Texas A&M junior pitcher Barret Loux was named to the College Baseball Foundation's National All-Star Lineup for the week ending March 7.
The College Baseball Foundation (CBF) is dedicated to preserving college baseball history and recognizing standout teams and individuals who have influenced the collegiate game.

Aggie to compete in Australian Open: MELBOURNE, Australia -- Texas A&M senior Julia Boland will be among the 13 amateurs competing in the Handa Australian Open beginning Thursday at The Commonwealth Golf Club.
Boland, who has won three college tournaments this season for the Aggies, is the No. 9 amateur in the world by Golfweek's rankings. She is a native of Tamworth, New South Wales, Australia.

Aggie men to play in Southern Highlands Collegiate Masters: LAS VEGAS -- The No. 7 Texas A&M men's golf team will compete at the Southern Highlands Collegiate Masters beginning Friday at Southern Highlands Golf Club.
The 54-hole tournament ends Sunday. The 15-team field includes 12 teams ranks among Golfweek's Top 25. Joining the Aggies will be top-ranked Oklahoma State, No. 4 Texas, No. 6 Florida, No. 12 UCLA, No. 13 Arizona State, No. 14 UNLV, No. 15 Southern California, No. 16 Georgia, No. 19 Texas Tech, No. 20 Georgia Tech, No. 22 TCU, Arizona, New Mexico and Tennessee.
The A&M lineup will include senior Andrea Pavan, freshman Cameron Peck, sophomore Jordan Russell, sophomore Geoff Shaw and junior Nacho Elvira. Junior John Hurley will play as an individual.

Four Aggies in national training camp: Four members of the Texas A&M women's soccer team were called up for the U.S. Under-23 Women's National Team training camp in Sunrise, Fla., this week. The camp will continue through March 14.
Juniors Rachel Shipley, Whitney Hooper and Kristin Arnold and sophomore Bri Young are among 24 players at the camp being run by head coach Bill Irwin. It is the first time the Aggies have had more than three players at a national team camp at one time.
SWIMMING & DIVING
A&M to host Zone Diving: Texas A&M will host the 2010 Zone D Diving Regional Friday through Sunday at the Student Rec Center Natatorium with the event beginning at 11 a.m. each day.
The women's 1-meter and men's 3-meter are set for Friday with the men's 1-meter and women's 3-meter Saturday and platform diving Sunday.

The Zone D Regional is one of five regionals across the country that will determine the field at the NCAA Championships. Other schools hosting zone regionals include Texas, Rutgers, Georgia Tech and Purdue.
The Aggies will be represented by seven divers -- five from the women's team and two from the men's team. Competing for the Aggie women will be seniors Haley Haynes and Emily Watson, junior Jaele Patrick and sophomores Janie Potvin and Lorena Lujan. Senior Henry Stevens and sophomore Grant Nel will represent the A&M men.
