PHILADELPHIA -- The Texas A&M men's and women's track and field teams, both ranked third nationally in the coaches' poll, will compete in the 114th Penn Relay Carnival on Thursday through Saturday at Franklin Field.
Another group of Aggies will compete at the Rice Twilight meet in Houston beginning at 2 p.m. Thursday. A&M will send mainly distance runners, jumpers and throwers to the Rice meet.
A&M will enter the Penn Relays with the nation's top time in the women's 800-meter relay (1:32.40) and the nation's second-fastest times in the men's 400 relay (38.83), women's 400 relay (42.97), men's 1,600 relay (3:04.09) and women's 1,600 relay (3:32.21).
