Aggies win 10 events at LSU Invitational

BATON ROUGE, La. -- The Texas A&M track and field team swept the 200 meters at the LSU Alumni Gold Invitational on Saturday at Bernie Moore Stadium.

A&M dominated the 200, finishing 1-2-3 on the men's side and 1-2 on the women's. Chris Dykes won the men's in 20.46 seconds followed by Dominique Stafford in second and Richard Adu-Bobie in third. Porscha Lucas won the women's 200 in 22.69 seconds while Simone Facey was second.

Other winners on the women's side were Brenna Williamson in the 3,000 steeplechase, Jessica Beard in the 400, Anteneshia Lindsey in the discus and Laura Asimakis in the javelin.

Other top collegiate finishers for A&M were Angela Thomas in the women's triple jump, Zuhair Sharif in the men's triple jump, Julian Reid in the men's long jump and A.C. Robinson in the men's 400.
