COLUMBUS, Ohio -- Texas A&M junior Triin Aljand, who qualified for the Estonian Olympic team in December, earned automatic entrance into the Olympic 50-meter freestyle race Sunday at the Post-NCAA Long Course Invitational at McCorkle Aquatic Center.

Alijand swam a lifetime-best Olympic 'A' standard swim of 25.43 seconds. She will also swim the 100-meter freestyle after achieving the Olympic 'B' standard thanks to a swim of 55.82. Aljand won both events.

Four more A&M swimmers qualified for the U.S. Olympic Trials. They were sophomore Sarah Woods (50 and 100-meter freestyle), senior Erin Mahoney (200-meter individual medley), sophomore Melissa Hain (200 IM) and senior Christine Marshall (100 free). Marshall had previously qualified to swim the 200 free.

The U.S. Olympic Trials are June 29-July 6 in Omaha, Neb.
