BRYAN FOOTBALL STANDOUTS

Here are the standouts from Bryan's 44-37 loss to Clear Springs on Friday:

Offensive backs: Nate Jones ran 28 times for 147 yards and three touchdowns, quarterback Aaron Eike ran 17 times for 94 yard and a touchdown and Chris Watson had 75 yards on 11 carries.

Offensive linemen: Tackle Tim Hines and guard Keith Lewis each had 10 knockdowns. Center Daniel Wright had the highest grade at 84 percent. Guard Cody Ponzio had seven knockdowns.

Special teamers: Chris Johnson had three kickoff returns for 131 yard, including an 89-yard return for a touchdown.

Linebackers: Fabian Lopez recorded six tackles and five assists. Curtis Orozco had one tackle, four assists, two tackles for losses and a sack.

Defensive backs: Safety Joseph Bryan had five tackles, four assists and broke up two passes. Brian Cune had seven tackles and seven assists.

Defensive line: Christopher Watson recorded four tackles and an assist. Jeremy Dominguez had two tackles, an assist and a sack.

Coach Bob Bellard said: He praised his team's effort to come back from a 22-3 halftime deficit and take a 37-36 lead. "Our fight in our kids was really, really good. We made plays in the second half, more than we did in the first half. We missed some opportunities with dropped balls. We got more consistent offensively in the second half and defensively, I thought we played pretty well most of the contest. We've got to get to where we can throw the football better."
