BRENHAM -- The Brenham Christian Eagles needed just two quarters in their opener to beat Conroe Calvary Baptist 74-0 by the mercy rule Friday.
Brenham Christian's Ian Roskow scored four touchdowns, including three rushing and one on a fumble recovery. Teammate Reagan Cameron scored two rushing touchdowns, led the team in tackles with five and had one safety.
Lonnie Armstrong and Roy Dawson each had a rushing touchdown while Travis Cole tossed an 11-yard touchdown pass to Alex Pryor. Azamat Pate also scored on a fumble recovery while Dawson ran back an interception for the team's final touchdown.
Brenham Christian's defense held Calvary Baptist to minus 10 yards of total offense.
Brenham Christian (1-0) will play at Kerrville Our Lady of the Hills on Friday.
