Bryan wrestlers fall at UIL meet

AUSTIN -- Four Bryan High wrestlers lost their opening-round matches at the UIL Wrestling State Championships on Friday at the Delco Center.

Clear Lake's Chris Rivera beat Viking junior Javier Aguilar 2-1 in the 125-pound division. Aguilar ended the season with a 39-5 record. It was his second straight state appearance.

Lewisville Marcus' Andrew Watson pinned Bryan senior David Orozco in the 145-pound division at the 3-minute, 54-second mark.

Klein Oak's J. Kristopher Fortner pinned Bryan senior Thomas Forster at 3:25 in the 160-pound division. Forster ended the season at 27-10.

Southlake Carroll's Stephen McPeek beat Bryan sophomore Omar Aguilar 21-4 in the 171-pound division. Omar Aguilar ended the season at 15-7.
