STILLWATER, Okla. -- Tyler Lyons struck out seven and Rebel Ridling drove in two runs to lead Oklahoma State to a 3-2 win Saturday over Texas A&M.

Trailing 2-0 in the second, the Cowboys (14-6, 2-3 Big 12) started a rally on a Matt Hague single. Hague advanced to second on a wild pitch and third on a groundout, eventually scoring on another groundout, this one by Ridling.

The Cowboys scored two more in the fourth, when Hague's double brought around Donnie Webb. A Ridling single to right scored Hague for what held up as the winning run. Hague went 3 for 4 with two runs and an RBI. Oklahoma State then held off a ninth-inning rally for the victory.

"That was a tough one to lose," A&M coach Rob Childress said. "We had our opportunities to score, not just there in the ninth inning, but earlier in the game as well. We just didn't get that big hit."

Singles by Darby Brown, Luke Anders and Brian Ruggiano loaded the bases for A&M (17-5, 3-2) in the top of the ninth, but Oklahoma State closer Jordy Mercer got pinch hitter Brooks Raley on a called third strike and then a ground ball to third off the bat of Kyle Colligan to end the game.

Lyons (3-2) allowed two runs on six hits in 71/3 innings.
