WACO -- Texas A&M junior Whitney Hooper scored the game-winning goal as the 10th-ranked Aggie soccer team shut out Baylor 1-0 on Friday.
Hooper netted her third straight game-winner in the 59th minute to lead A&M (6-3, 1-0 Big 12) to its third consecutive win and eighth victory in a row over the Bears (4-2-2).
A&M goalkeepers Kristin Arnold and Kelly Dyer combined for the shutout. The Aggies outshot the Bears 12-4 and took seven corner kicks compared to three for BU.
A&M faces Oklahoma at 1 p.m. Sunday.
