Lexington wins series, advances to regional semifinals: BASTROP -- After being forced to play a deciding Game 3, Lexington scored 10 runs to beat Weimar 10-4 Saturday and clinch the Class 2A area series.

Lexington will face Rogers in the Region IV quarterfinals.

Lexington's Reagan Janda (4-2) picked up the win after the Eagles scored five runs on six hits in the bottom of the first. Teammate Michael Kieffer hit an RBI triple in the first and had an inside the park home run in the fifth.

On Friday, Lexington gave up four runs in the second inning and fell 6-4 to Weimar.
