Consol girls roll past Harker Heights: The A&M Consolidated girls soccer team turned dreary conditions Friday night at Tigerland Stadium into an 8-0 shut out of Harker Heights in District 12-5A play.
The second-place Lady Tigers (15-4-4, 12-1) set a school record for shutouts in a season with 15 as Megan Eickenhorst played goalkeeper in the first half with Emily Smith and Taylor Pounds splitting the second half.
Smith had a hat trick while Jess Brown, Lauren Allen, Lara Kreuter, Pounds and Vicky Wilhelm each scored a goal. Wilhelm and Pounds each had two assists, while Smith, Shannon Schulze and Kreuter had one. Consol took a 3-0 lead in just 6 minutes of play with a pair of goals by Smith and another by Brown.
Consol will play at Belton, the 12-5A leader, next Friday to end regular-season play.

Navasota boys lose to Waller: WALLER -- The Waller boys soccer team shut out a short-handed Navasota squad 9-0. The Rattlers suited out only 11 players on a cold, rainy Friday night.
Mario Vizuet and Jose Moran played well for the Rattlers, who will end the season at 9 a.m. Monday at home against Montgomery.
