Pair of A&M signees have big night at all-star game

GRAND PRAIRIE -- Alief Elsik's Adaora Elonu, a Texas A&M signee, made a steal and hit two free throws in crunch time to cap the South's 72-67 victory Thursday in the Texas Girls Coaches Association 4A-5A all-star basketball game.

Elonu led all scorers with 20 points.

DeSoto's Sydney Carter, another A&M signee, scored 14 points for the North and hit a 3-pointer with 15.6 seconds left that cut the South's lead to 70-67.
