IOLA -- Without throwing a pass, the Somerville Yeguas put away the Iola Bulldogs 41-8 to improve to 4-0 to start the season.
After Iola fumbled away its opening possession, Yegua quarterback Cody Holliday ran in for a 9-yard TD followed by a P.J. Pleasant PAT.
Somerville scored twice more in the first half. Iola then had a chance to score just before halftime but fumbled the ball away inside the Yegua 10-yard line, giving Somerville a 21-0 halftime lead.
Holliday added touchdown runs of 2 and 7 yards early in the second half to put the game away.
Iola's touchdown came on a 50-yard pass from Bryan Bradford to Justin Fairbanks. Trevor Fairbanks ran in the two-point conversion.
Iola will play at Thorndale next Friday, while Somerville has the week off.
