Ducks 2, Stars 1, SO: DALLAS -- Ryan Getzlaf scored in the third round of the shootout after goaltender Jonas Hiller denied two of three Dallas shooters and the Anaheim Ducks beat the Stars 2-1 on Saturday night.
Dallas' Brad Richards and Anaheim's Corey Perry converted in the first round of the shootout.
Hiller stopped Sergei Zubov, and Dallas goalie Marty Turco denied Teemu Selanne in the second round.
Dallas' Mike Ribeiro hit the post with his third-round attempt, and Getzlaf ended the game with a forehand shot from the slot that got past Turco.
The Stars were beaten in their first game since a knee injury ended captain Brenden Morrow's season.
Morrow sustained a torn knee ligament with about six minutes left in Thursday night's 6-3 loss to the Chicago Blackhawks. Morrow, who has scored 173 goals in nine seasons with the Stars, will be out about six months after surgery that's yet to be scheduled.
