A&M to offer AC, refrigeration course
Texas A&M University's Continuing and Professional Studies Office will offer a two-day short course for electricians and engineers in May.
The Controls Power, Electronic Devices, Motors and IT Solutions Short Course May 1 and 2 is approved for continuing education by the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulations for state-licensed electricians and air conditioning and refrigeration technicians. The course content also satisfies the minimum continuing-education requirements accepted by the Texas Board of Professional Engineers.
The course will run 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. both days. For $195, students can take four hours, satisfying continuing education requirements by TDLR for electricians. For $390, they can take eight hours, satisfying requirements for air conditioning and repair technicians. And for $780 students can attend 15 hours, satisfying requirements by TBPE for professional engineers.
The course will bring together engineers and tradesmen, including hands-on activities and focusing on rapidly emerging technology.
