Corps picks leaders for 2008-09 year
Texas A&M University juniors Jordan Reid and Andrew Davis have been tapped to lead the Corps of Cadets during the 2008-09 school year.
As cadet colonel of the Corps, Reid will be the highest-ranking cadet in the 1,700-member group, leading one of the largest uniformed bodies of students not connected with a United States service academy. Davis will serve as deputy corps commander for operations, assisting in leadership and serving as commander if Reid is gone.
Reid is a political science major in company F-2, while Davis is an international studies major in company E-2.
The Corps' major unit commanders for the next school year also were identified on Monday. They are First Brigade Commander Brian Cook, Second Brigade Commander Cody Fritz, Third Brigade Commander Stephen Carl, First Regiment Commander Patrick Schuppert, Second Regiment Commander Aaron Reitz, First Wing Commander Alex Smith, Second Wing Commander Jordan Light, Task Force Commander Karl Stoeckel and Combined Band Commander Pedro Vega.
