Event successful for A&M Foundation

Eagle Staff Report

About 75 people attended a recent Gift and Estate Planning Open House hosted by the Texas A&M Foundation that educated participants about gift and estate planning.

During the three-hour, come-and-go event at the Jon L. Hagler Center on the A&M campus, estate planning professionals -- including lawyers, financial planners and accountants -- shared information about the importance of everyone having a will and a complete estate plan.

Those who couldn't attend the open house and would like information regarding the event or about giving through an estate can contact Angela Throne at the Texas A&M Foundation Office of Gift Planning at 845-8161 or a-throne@tamu.edu.

Organizers said that Throne can get folks in touch with Foundation specialists in bequests, trusts and other planned gifts, as well as sponsors and professional participants, including J. Derek Moore of Payne Watson Law, Paragon Advisors and Jeff Wind at Frost Trust Services.

Officials said callers can also request an invitation to the Foundation's next Gift and Estate Planning Open House.
