The public is invited to a free forum Thursday on whether the legal drinking age should remain at 21 or drop to 18.
Pastor Gio Marin of the Seventh-Day Adventist Church of Bryan-College Station will moderate the forum sponsored by the Coalition on Alcohol Responsibility and Education, or CARE.
The forum will feature an expert panel, and audience members may take part in the discussion. The event, scheduled for 5:30 p.m. in Rudder Theatre, is being held in conjunction with National Collegiate Alcohol Awareness Week.
CARE is a nonprofit group that encourages responsible drinking. Members include Texas A&M University, the Brazos Valley Council on Alcohol and Substance Abuse, CARPOOL, College Station police, the College Station Medical Center, the Texas Department of Transportation, the Sexual Assault Resource Center and area alcohol retailers.
