Groups saluting military at game

During Saturday's Texas A&M football game against Iowa State University, the Fightin' Texas Aggie Band will perform America the Beautiful, student group Silver Wings will raise the Spirit Flag, and the 12th Man TV at the south end of Kyle Field will highlight veterans and current soldiers.

It's all part of Military Appreciation Day, which Texas A&M will observe during the game. Officials said "appreciation moments" will be included throughout halftime and the game, which begins at 2:30 p.m.

All veterans or enlisted men and women can purchase half-price tickets by logging onto AggieAthletics.com and clicking on tickets. Veterans may also call the ticket hotline number at 888-992-4443 or 845-2311. Tickets may also be bought at the Kyle Field ticket offices at the north end of the field.
