Loftin hosting a pair of forums Thursday

Eagle Staff Report

Texas A&M Interim President R. Bowen Loftin will host a pair of open forums Thursday in Room 601 of Rudder Tower. The 10 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. events will have identical formats.

The forums come as the university is scrambling to prepare for a state-mandated budget reduction of about $28 million over two years.

Loftin was named sole finalist for the university's presidency last month. The appointment is expected to become official next week, following a 21-day waiting period.

Questions can also be e-mailed to askthepresident@tamu.edu.

The forums will be streamed at http://ttvn2.tamu.edu and be seen on Channel 82 locally.
