Texas A&M University is among the nation's best values in public colleges and universities, according to a report released last week by The Princeton Review and USA Today.
The report lists the top 50 "best values" based on quality at an affordable cost and a good return on investment in higher education, Texas A&M officials said last week.
The ranking is the latest in a series of publications that have recognized the College Station campus, officials said.
Smart Money magazine listed Texas A&M No. 1 in its annual rankings based on how much graduates earn compared to costs of their undergraduate education. The university was originally ranked second, but moved up after the University of Georgia corrected its tuition information.
Kiplinger's Personal Finance magazine also cited the local university in its 2009 list of 100 best values in public institutions. The rankings will appear in the magazine's February issue.
