Several Texas A&M organizations and student groups will host the university's first Campus Sustainability Day from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesday at Rudder Fountain Plaza.
The event aims to raise awareness and educate participants about the concept of sustainability -- meeting the needs of the present without compromising the ability for future generations to meet their own needs.
Activities include a performance by Strawberry Jam and an interactive webcast titled Climate Realities, Challenges and Progress in Higher Education.
There will also be a screening of the environmental documentary 11th Hour at 7:30 p.m. Thursday in Room 111 of the Koldus Building.
