Holly Rachelle Burke and Scott Alan Schautschick were joyfully united in marriage on August 22, 2009, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Giddings, Texas. The double ring ceremony was officiated by Reverend John Fibelkorn. The beautiful ceremony was enhanced by the piano and organ music of Melvin Schiwart, uncle of the groom.
The bride is the daughter of Ozzie and Dianna Burke of Bryan. She is the granddaughter of the late Buck and Claire Weirus of College Station and the late Reuben and Irene Burke of Caldwell.
The groom is the son of Alvin and Marilyn Schautschick of Giddings. He is the grandson of the late Martin and Amanda Schautschick of Giddings and the late Herbert and Frieda Koehler of Giddings.
Presented in marriage by her father, the bride was attended by her sister-in-law, Meredith Burke, of Frisco, as matron of honor. Her bridesmaids were Lihn Nguyen of Bryan, Jill Sechelski of Navasota, and Stacey Hebert of New Orleans, sister of the groom. The flower girls were Mallory Grein, cousin of the bride and Sara Schiwart, cousin of the groom. Ring bearers were Mason Grein, cousin of the bride and Ethen Reynolds, cousin of the groom.
Serving as best man was Ross Burke, of Frisco, brother of the bride. Other groomsmen were Chris Wiesenhutter of Round Rock, and cousins of the groom, Duane Schiwart of Magnolia and Jeff Pietsch of Taylor.
Following the ceremony a dinner reception, presented by local caterers, was held in the church's fellowship hall. Members of the house party were Rhonda Orsak, Jessica Blue, Carol Sherrod, and Delanie Reynolds.
Holly is a 1997 graduate of Bryan High School and attended Texas A&M University, studying nutrition sciences. She is a personal trainer with Gold's Gym in Bryan. Scott graduated from Round Rock High School in 1990 and Texas A&M University in 1996 with a Bachelor of Science. He is an environmental scientist with CSC Engineering and Environmental Consultants, Inc. in Bryan.
Beginning married life in their loft in downtown Bryan, the couple now make their home in College Station.
