Cargill-Dozier

Miss Courtney Sue Cargill and Mr. Jarrett Bradley Dozier were joyfully united in marriage on Saturday, May 8, 2010 at half past six in the evening at the Serengeti Resort in Bergheim, TX. Reverend Warren E. Beemer of San Antonio, TX, officiated the outdoor ceremony, and Mr. Ryan Gresham served as vocalist. Music was provided by Monte Vista Strings of San Antonio; a lone guitar accompanied a violin duo.  Following the ceremony, a reception was held under the resort's Hill Country oak trees, with music provided by Nightfire Band of San Antonio.

The bride is the daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Thomas H. Cargill, of Bryan. Grandparents of the bride are Dr. and Mrs. Howard Cargill and Mr. and Mrs. Allen Ater, both of Bryan. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Larry Parker, of Tiki Island, TX. Grandparents of the groom are the late Mr. and Mrs. H.C. Pendley of Texas City, TX.

Given in marriage by her parents and escorted by her father, the bride wore a white silk chiffon gown designed by Melissa Sweet for Priscilla of Boston. The pleated bodice of the gown wrapped around to a low back, and was accented with beaded spaghetti straps. The veil was floor length, and served as the bride’s “something borrowed” as it was previously worn by her Matron of Honor. She carried a hand tied bouquet of white and cream miniature calla lilies.

Attending the bride as Matron and Maid of Honor were Mrs. Karen Reece Trotter, of Houston, TX, and Miss Melissa Ruffino, of New York, NY.  Bridesmaids included Mrs. Bobi Ann Cargill Allen, of Huntsville, AL, Mrs. Emily Bryan Bullion, of Katy, TX, Miss Elizabeth Burdette of Dallas, TX, Mrs. Andress Davison Koenning, of Dallas, TX, Mrs. Lauren Patranella Kuen, of Harker Heights, TX, and Miss Lauren Waterfield, of London, UK. The flower girl was Miss Lindee Parker, niece of the groom. Mrs. Sarah Sicilio Cargill, of Galveston, TX , Miss Janna Romero, of Clear Lake, TX, and Miss Alex Pendley, of Boerne, TX served as greeters.  

Mr. Gavan Parker, of Yukon, OK served as Best Man.  Groomsmen included Mr. Paul Aguirre, of Houston, Mr. Bryan Bruce, of Huntsville, AL, Mr. Joe Byrd, Jr, of League City, TX, Mr. Matt Byrd, of Pearland, TX, Mr. Brad Doerre, of League City, TX, Mr. Brad Dunne, of League City, TX, Mr. Matt Vogt, of Clear Lake, TX, and Mr. Bret Wernert, of Montgomery, TX.  Brothers of the bride, Mr. John Cargill, of Galveston, TX, and Mr. David Cargill, of Houston, TX, served as ushers.

Courtney is a 2004 graduate of Texas A&M University with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing. She is employed with Shionogi Pharma, Inc. in Houston.

Jarrett is a 2001 graduate of Texas A&M University with a Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Economics. He is the President of JD River Oaks Stucco, Inc in Houston, TX.

Following a honeymoon to Maui, HI, the couple resides in Pearland, Texas.
