Miss Cara Elizabeth Corpora and Mr. Justin Daniel Jordan were united in marriage on Saturday, November 7, 2009 at the Saltwater Pavilion in Rockport, Texas. Reverend Brian Gasiorowski of Corpus Christi officiated at the double ring ceremony. Matthew Corpora, brother of the bride, offered a reading. Music was provided by the Adagio String Quartet. Following the ceremony, the bride's family hosted a dinner and dance reception at the Saltwater Pavilion. On the eve of the wedding, a rehearsal dinner was hosted by the groom's parents in the upstairs room of Charlotte Plummer's Restaurant located in the Fulton Harbor.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Sam A. Corpora of Hearne, Texas. She is the granddaughter of Mrs. Sara Corpora and the late Mr. Joseph Corpora of Hearne, Texas and the late Mr. and Mrs. Arnold DeBruhl of Palestine, Texas and the late Mr. Foy E. Boswell of Jacksonville, Texas.
The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. David Jordan of Overland Park, Kansas, and Ms. Sherry Jordan of Piedmont, California. Grandparents of the groom are Mr. and Mrs. Stanford Jordan of Overland Park, Kansas and the late Mr. and Mrs. Paul Ownby of Garden Grove, California.
Given in marriage by her parents and escorted by her father, the bride wore an elegant ivory gown of beaded lace by designer Augusta Jones. The strapless sheath gown featured a sweetheart neckline with an intricate crystal detail at the waist. An illusion veil with pearl and crystal edge complimented her gown. She carried a hand tied bouquet of hydrangeas, stephanotis, roses, and mini callas accented by her grandmother's gold charms.
Serving as matron of honor was Mrs. Pamela Berman of Carrollton, Texas. The bridesmaids were Miss Sara Shaunfield of Colleyville and Mrs. Genie Williams, cousin of the bride, of Strong, Arkansas. Anna Grace Langston, cousin of the bride, served as flower girl. Members of the house party were Miss Lanny Smalling of Houston, Miss Elizabeth Casserly of Austin, and Mrs. Jennifer Breckel, sister of the groom, of Los Angeles, California.
Mr. Scott Williams of Austin was best man. Groomsmen were Mr. Daniel Poston of Fort Worth, and Mr. Brandon Hall of Austin. Ushers were Mr. James Berman of Carrollton, Mr. Josh Coker, brother of the groom, of Dallas, and Mr. Matthew Corpora, brother of the bride, of Austin.
The bride is a 2001 graduate of Allen Academy, and a 2005 graduate of Texas State University. She is employed by Prosperity Bank in Austin.
The groom is a 2000 graduate of McArthur High School in Irving, and attended Texas State University where he was a member of Alpha Tau Omega fraternity. He is the Guest Services and Transportation Manager for Barton Creek Resort and Spa in Austin.
Following a Caribbean cruise, the couple now resides in Austin.
