Jamie Jaye Goodsell and Gordon McIntosh Bassett were united in marriage on Sunday, April 26, 2009. The wedding and reception were held at the Salt Lick in Driftwood, Texas. Reverend Andrew Perry officiated the ceremony.
Jamie is the daughter of Bill and Kathy Goulding of Georgetown, Texas, and Dave and Janice Goodsell of Denver, Colorado. Gordon is the son of John and Bridget Bassett of College Station, Texas.
Serving as maid of honor was Cory Retherford of San Antonio, Texas. Bridesmaids were Shanna Whitaker of Austin, Texas, and Amanda Mjos of San Marcos, Texas. Junior bridesmaid was Kaci Steili, niece of the bride, of Commerce City, Colorado. Serving as best man was Matt Bridges of Austin Groomsmen were Kyle Perri of Houston, Texas and Rob Bassett, brother of the groom, of College Station. Ring bearer was Griffin Carlin, nephew of the bride, of Houston. Ushers were Matt Goulding and Nick Goulding, brothers of the bride, of Georgetown. A special reading was given by Jennifer Tackett-Kurth, cousin of the groom, of Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
Jamie is a 1997 graduate of Georgetown High School and a December 2008 graduate of Texas State University with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in History. She plans to teach high school history.
Gordon is a 2002 graduate of A&M Consolidated High School and a 2006 graduate of the University of Texas with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Geography. He is employed by Alamo Drafthouse.
After a honeymoon trip to the Dominican Republic, the couple will reside in Houston.
