Johnson-Waters Wedding

Johnson-Waters

Carly Johnson and Smokey Waters were united in marriage Saturday, April 25, 2009 at eleven o’clock at A&M United Methodist.  The double-ring ceremony was officiated by Pastor Laurinda Kwiatkowski .  Music for the ceremony was provided by Ed Kane, pianist and organist; Elizabeth Furuta, violinist; and Kaylie Kahlich and Michael Wolfe; vocalists.  Following the ceremony, the parents of the bride hosted a luncheon at Christopher’s World Grille.

The bride is the daughter of Charles and Barbara Johnson of College Station, Texas.  The groom is the son of Randy and Cella Waters of Lolita, Texas.

Escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents, the bride wore a strapless, couture gown embellished with ostrich feathers.  To compliment her gown, the bride wore a caged veil enhanced with feathers and beading.  The bride carried a tight, rounded bouquet of pink roses and green hypericum.

Megan Cuddy of Johnson City, Arkansas, served as the Matron of Honor.  Jacque Shoen of Phoenix, Arizona, served as the Maid of Honor.  Bill Senn of Bentonville, Arkansas served as the Best Man.  Erik Scott of Dallas, Texas served as a Groomsman.  Travis Johnson of Chicago, Illinois and brother of the bride, served as the usher.

Carly is a graduate of A&M Consolidated High School and Texas Lutheran University in Seguin, Texas where she obtained a bachelor of Business Administration degree in Marketing.  She is currently employed with the National Kidney Foundation as the Special Events Assistant.

Smokey is a graduate of La Ferria High School and The Art Institute of Houston with a degree in Culinary Arts.  He is currently employed with Taco Cabana as the Corporate Chef of Research and Development.

Following their honeymoon in the Bahamas, the couple will reside in San Antonio, Texas.
