Charles and Charlene Lednicky of Snook celebrated their 58th wedding anniversary on October 27, 2009. The couple were married October 27, 1951 at the Caldwell Brethren Church. They have three daughters, eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Their children are: daughter, Nina and husband, Harry (Skip) Davey, of Pearland, their children, Jennifer, Taylor, her husband, Michael Skipper of Houston; daughter, Karen and husband, Dennis Gaas, their children, Jason Gaas of Snook, Kimberly Giesenschlag and husband, Robert John (RJ), of Silverdale, Washington and Amy Kienow and husband, Sam, and children, Riley, Joshua and Decota of College Station; daughter, Becky Lane and husband, Allen, of the Woodlands and their children, Sarah, Tanner and Taylor.
Charles is retired from U.S. Department of Agriculture and Charlene is retired from the College of Veterinay Medicine, Texas A&M University. Both Chares and Charlene are members of the Brethren Church in Snook.
