The bride is the daughter of Dianne and Daniel L. McWilliams of Cypress, Texas, and the groom is the son of Carol and Boe W. Martin of College Station. Also in attendance were the bride's grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. William I. Tucker of Round Rock, and Mrs. Elsie L. Maler of Brookshire, Texas. The bride was given in marriage by both the McWilliams and Martin families.
Mrs. Marcus Tamez of Cypress, the bride's sister, served as matron of honor. The groom’s best man was his father, Boe W. Martin, and his sister, Stephanie Martin, read a passage from Psalms during the ceremony. Grayson Tamez, the bride's nephew, was ring bearer. Both the wedding and reception were held at the Driskill Hotel in Austin.
The bride wore a white silk strapless gown with a gathered bodice, a full skirt, and her mother’s white cathedral-length lace veil. At her waist was a sash embroidered with the emblem of Boston's Dorchester Heights National Monument, where the couple first met and later became engaged. After the ceremony, the couple traveled to Hawaii for their honeymoon on Maui and Kauai.

The groom is a graduate of Highland Park High School in Dallas, Harvard University, and The University of Michigan Law School, where he was an editor of the Michigan Law Review. He is now an attorney at the Federal Public Defender Office in Boston, Massachusetts, where the couple currently resides.
