Miss Jenna Ann Mutchler and Dr. Jason Leonard Muesse were united in Holy Matrimony at a Nuptial Mass at two o'clock in the afternoon on May 16, 2009 at Corpus Christi Cathedral in Corpus Christi, Texas. Reverend Monsignor Mark Chamberlin officiated at the double-ring ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Allen Roger Mutchler Jr. of Taft, Texas. She is the granddaughter of June Snapka and the late R. J. “Jake” Snapka, and Vivian Mutchler, and Allen Mutchler, all of Taft, Texas.
The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Leroy Muesse of College Station, Texas. He is the grandson of Rosemary Hermes and the late Henry G. Hermes of Hallettsville, Texas and Evelyn Haschke of Winchester, Texas and the late Leroy Muesse of Columbus, Texas.
The bride, escorted by her mother and father, wore a strapless A-line satin gown accented with a crystal lace bodice, and adorned with a cathedral train. To complement her gown, the bride wore an elbow length veil with crystal detail. She carried a long cascade of stephanotis, roses, and calla lilies. Entwined in her bouquet was a crystal rosary carried by her mother at her wedding, which belonged to the bride's maternal great grandmother. She also carried a wedding date monogrammed lace handkerchief, a gift from the groom's mother, which the groom's mother also carried on her wedding day.
Serving as maid of honor was the bride's sister, Miss Alyssa Mutchler, of Taft, Texas. The bridesmaids were Miss Beth Mathis of Pearland, Texas, Mrs. Katie Miller Patterson of Taft, Texas, Miss Vanessa Inmon of Duncanvillle,Texas and Miss Lindsey Barrett of College Station, Texas.
Serving as best men were Mr. Matthew Stellbauer and Mr. Curtis Gibson, both of Bryan, Texas. Groomsmen were Mr. Andrew Jones and Mr. Robert McGehee both of Bryan, Texas and Dr. David Burkholder of Spring, Texas.
Miss Faith Snapka and Mr. Eric Snapka, cousins of the bride, of Taft, Texas, participated as flower girl and ring bearer.
Mrs. Seline Smith was the soloist and Mr. Lee Gwozdz was the organist. They are both members of the Corpus Christi Cathedral Choir. Sister Martha Ann Snapka, great aunt of the bride, of Corpus Christi, Texas, was the lector. Altar servers were Miss Alexis Roach and Miss Alyssa Roach, cousins of the bride, of College Station, Texas.
Offertory gifts were presented by the Godparents of the bride, Mr. Mark Threadgill, of Hallettsville, Texas and Mrs. Vicky Schilhab, of Conroe, Texas and the Godparents of the groom, Mrs. Sharon Reagan of Harker Heights, Texas and Mrs. Glenda Rutten of Flatonia, Texas.
A reception, dinner, and dance followed at Sokol Hall in Corpus Christi, Texas.
Members of the house party were Mrs. Lucille Snapka and Mrs. Carolyn Snapka, both great aunts of the bride, of Corpus Christi, Texas and Mrs. Sharon Reagan, aunt of the groom, of Harker Heights, Texas and Mrs. Glenda Trlicek and Mrs. Linda Pavliska both of Hallettsville, Texas.
On the eve of the wedding, a rehearsal dinner was hosted by the groom's parents at Water Street Restaurant in Corpus Christi, Texas.
Jenna is a 2003 graduate of Gregory-Portland High School. She received her Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Accounting, and her Master of Science degree in Accounting with an emphasis in Taxation, from Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas in May, 2008. She is a Staff Tax Accountant at Easley, Endres, Parkhill and Brackendorff, P.C. in Houston, Texas.
Jason is a 2001 graduate of Bryan High School. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry from Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas in May, 2005 and his medical degree from Texas A&M University Health Science Center in May, 2009. He is a General Surgery Resident at Methodist Hospital in Houston, Texas.
The couple honeymooned in Playa Del Carmen, Mexico and now reside in Houston, Texas.
