Parker-Shelton Engagement

Billy and Kathy Parker of Bryan are pleased to announce the engagement and approaching marriage of their daughter, Melissa Gayle Parker, to Roy Wayne Shelton, son of Sue Shelton of College Station and the late Roy Shelton, Jr., formerly of Caldwell. Grandparents of the bride-elect are Billie Jean Taulbee, now of Bryan and the late Roland Bret Taulbee, Jr., formerly of Waxahachie, Texas, and the late Elvin Doyle and Nina Ruth Parker, formerly of Clyde, Texas.   Grandparents of the groom- to-be are Frankie Dehart of College Station, the late Leonard Dehart, formerly of Waco, and the late Roy and Fay Shelton, formerly of Gatesville, Texas.

   

Melissa is a 2002 graduate of Bryan High School and a 2006 graduate of Texas A&M      University with a Bachelor’s  degree in Kinesiology.  She also obtained a Master’s degree in Professional Counseling from Sam Houston State University in December, 2008.  She is currently employed as an          Academic Advisor in the Kinesiology department at Texas A&M University.

   

Roy is a 1993 graduate of Caldwell High School and graduated from Texas State Technical College in 1995.  He is employed as a detective with the College Station Police     Department.

   

The couple will be married on Saturday, September 12, 2009 at Hillcrest Baptist Church in Bryan, Texas.
