Whitney Ann Picklo and Paul Crawford Dorton were united in marriage on Saturday, March 27, 2010 by Pastors Butch Smith and George Arzymanow. The wedding and reception took place in the garden of the groom's parents in College Station, Texas.
The bride is the daughter of Virginia Picklo of Anson, Texas and Al Picklo of Katy, Texas. The groom is the son of Duane and Marylou Brieger of College Station, and Todd and Kori Dorton of Waco, Texas.
Presented in marriage by her father, the bride was attended by her sisters Stephanie Picklo, Courtney Holmes, Tiffaney DeShazer, and her cousin Kendall Casinger. The flower girls were Olivia Dorton, sister of the groom; Taylor Holmes, niece of the bride; and Samantha Simmons, cousin of the bride.
Serving as the best man was Bryce Dorton, the brother of the groom. Groomsmen included Devin Holmes and Michael DeShazer, future brothers in law of the groom. Ushers were Ryan Luna, Caleb Dorton, and Jacob Dorton, cousins of the groom.
The bride and groom are both graduates of the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor. The bride received her degree in Elementary Education and the groom received his degree in Business Marketing. The groom is employed by Horizon Benefits as a Senior Account Executive. Following their honeymoon in Costa Rica, the couple resides in College Station, Texas.
