Dr. and Mrs. Carl A. Svajda of College Station, Texas are pleased to announce the engagement and approaching marriage of their daughter, Melinda Elise, to Jonathan D. Winkler, son of Mr. and Mrs. David B. Winkler of Meridian, Texas.
Grandparents of the Bride-elect are Mrs. Mildred Svajda and the late Dr. J. F. Svajda of College Station, Mr. and Mrs. T. E. Conner of Ft. Stockton, Texas, and great grandmother Helen Tooke of Garland, Texas. Grandparents of the groom are Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Winkler of Albany, Texas and Mr. and Mrs. Joe Bonnot of Lolita, Texas.
Melinda is a 2008 graduate of Texas A&M and is currently attending the University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston Nursing School. Jonathan is a graduate of Texas A&M, class of '06, and is employed with Vaughn Construction in Houston, Texas.
The ceremony will take place on Saturday, January 3, 2009 at Christ United Methodist Church in College Station, Texas.
