Sara Evelyn Rogers, of College Station and 2nd Lt. Glen Eric Melin II of Corpus Christi,  were united in holy matrimony on Sunday December 19, 2010 at the Art Center of Corpus Christi. Pastor Glen Melin, father of the groom, officiated the ceremony.

Sara is the daughter of  Anthony and Nancy (Rogers) Birnbaum of College Station, TX and Mark Rogers of Albuquerque, NM.  Sara’s grandparents, Raymond and Ellon Rogers of Albuquerque were in attendance at the wedding.  Glen is the son of Maj. (retired) Glen and Jill Melin of Corpus Christi, TX.

Sara was given in marriage by her father, Mark Rogers.

Maid of Honor was Candace Smalley.  Bridesmaids were Heather Hajovsky, Hannah Rogers, Susanna Rogers, all three sisters of the bride,  and  Courtney Thompson. Flower girl was Chloe Birnbaum, sister of the bride.

Best Man was David Melin, brother of the groom.  Groomsmen were 2nd Lt. Ryan Hunke, Trey Camp, Andrew Wood and Rocky DePena.   Ushers were 2nd Lt. Poncho Gonzales, and Spec 4 Johnathon Melin, cousin of the groom.

Sara is a graduate of Texas A&M University at Corpus Christi.  She is employed as an RN at Driscoll Children’s Hospital.

Glen is  a graduate of Texas A&M University at Corpus Christi and is a 2nd Lt. US Army, Infantry officer.

Following a honeymoon trip to Coco Bay Resort in Antiqua, the couple will relocate to Fort Benning Army Base in Georgia.
