Bryan Walmart celebrates remodel
Eagle Staff Report
The Bryan Walmart will have a grand re-opening Friday to celebrate its renovations.
The four-month-long project at 2200 Briarcrest Drive will be unveiled at 9 a.m. to showcase the new layout, low-profile shelving, wider aisles, new flooring, new interior paint scheme, enhanced lighting and signage.
"We listened to our customers and have redesigned the store to make shopping at Walmart even easier," said store manager Larry Beavers.
Among the changes, Walmart has combined the Site-to-Store pick-up location and photo lab into a single area at the rear of the store. The electronics department has been expanded to feature a wider selection of electronics and home entertainment. A new department has also been added, called Celebration Station, where it will feature party supplies, greeting cards, balloons and helium tanks, cake supplies and gift wrap. The store also re-paved its parking lot as part of the remodel.
