Village Cafe to host fundraising event

A "One Village" fundraising event benefiting local residents with mental illness or developmental disabilities will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday at Village Cafe.

The Downtown Bryan event -- which is being organized by the MHMR Authority of Brazos Valley -- will include a dinner buffet, an art auction and music performed by Kathy Ross and Randy Pavlock.

Costs are $15 per person or $70 to reserve a table for four.
