Mr. and Mrs. Walter and Leah Ann Phillips are pleased to announce the engagement and approaching marriage of their daughter, Ashley Dawn Phillips, to Matthew David Doss, son of Dr. and Mrs. David and Susan Doss.
Grandparents of the bride are Dr. and Mrs. Dutch and Billie Elmendorf of Bryan, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Joseph and Josephine Nowak Phillips of Plantersville. Grandparents of the groom include the late Dr. and Mrs. Jim and Thelma Hinshaw of Beaumont, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Leonard and Jean Doss of Ft. Worth.
Ashley and Matt grew up in Bryan, graduating from Bryan High School in 2002. Upon graduation, Ashley entered Texas Woman’s University in Denton, graduating cum laude in 2006 with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. After working at Parkland Hospital in Dallas, she returned to Bryan and is currently employed as a critical care nurse at St. Joseph’s Regional Health Center. Matt proudly attended Texas A&M University, graduating in 2006 with a Bachelor of Arts in History. He then entered St. Mary’s University School of Law in San Antonio, graduating in 2009 with his law degree. He is currently a practicing attorney at the law firm of Youngkin and Associates, PLLC, in Bryan.
Matt and Ashley will be married April 28, 2012 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Bryan. Following their honeymoon, the couple will reside in Bryan.
